We were able to get a campground for two nights, so we where able to ride from
Ohanapecosh visitor center (our campground) to Paradise visitor center, much closer to the mighty Mt. Ranier!
Here's something everyone will want for their home... it's a wash basin / tub / sink that flushes! Think of the possibilities!
Now that you've thought about that for a moment...
The day wasn't quite as clear today.
The climb was a steady, not too steep 23 miles. I love to listen to music on long climbs! I use my left ear for traffic, my right ear for music and my rear view mirror frequently! I listen to an eclectic mix of music on "shuffle," and have discovered that I sing Pavorati, the Beach Boys, Enya, George Thorogood, and Tom Waits equally well.
We rode "light" today because we left most of our stuff in camp.
Riding through tunnels is fun, sort of...
We made it!
The really, really great thing about riding along like this is the people we meet along the way! We often have people approach is to visit, to help, to ask about what we're doing, to share a story with us - it happens several times a day, every day!
Tonight, our campground neighbors, Joel, Lindsay and their four boys brought over hot dogs, pasta salad and some sangria for us! Delicious, but it was the thoughtfulness and kindness that filled us up!
