Shortly after we woke up, it started raining, so we went to one of the shelters to make breakfast.
The rain let up, so we packed up and hit the road, which followed the S. Skagit River all the way to our destination, Newhalem, where we stayed in the North Cascades National Park. We were traveling upstream, but it was an easy day, riding along a pretty road, mostly under the canopy of trees.
We did stop to "smell the flowers..."
We are always on the lookout for a bit of wisdom!
